Junior AI Engineer Junior at Xponent AI will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of AI models that contribute to the automation and enhancement of business processes. This entry-level position focuses on applying machine learning techniques under guidance to solve specific tasks, improving the accuracy of predictions and automations.
The role serves as a foundational career step, offering extensive hands-on experience in a supportive, innovative environment, and shaping the candidate into a proficient AI specialist.
About Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and refining AI models under the supervision of senior AI engineers.
- Participate in the deployment of machine learning algorithms and models into production environments.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of existing AI systems.
- Engage in data pre-processing, cleaning, and analysis to prepare datasets for model training.
- Contribute to the implementation of natural language processing, computer vision, and other AI technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions across various platforms.
- Document code, processes, and algorithms for review and further development.
- Attend workshops and training sessions to stay updated with the latest AI technologies and best practices.
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging AI systems.
- Assist in the evaluation and performance metrics analysis of AI models to ensure they meet business needs.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning algorithms and principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Eagerness to learn and apply new AI techniques and tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex projects with guidance.
- Some experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch) is preferred.
- Basic understanding of data structures and software architecture.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate within a team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative in learning and applying new skills.
