Visualization Engineer at Xponent AI will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, manage stakeholders, develop, and optimize data warehouses, perform data transformation and wrangling, write DAX code, create Power Query transformations, and design compelling visualizations.
Your soft skills will be instrumental in effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for enable our clientele to maximize the value of their data assets by designing and building advanced analytic capabilities.
About Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with business units, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing solutions to support data transformation, wrangling, and storage needs.
- Utilize data transformation and wrangling techniques to clean, reshape, and prepare raw data for analysis.
- Write and optimize complex DAX calculations to provide meaningful insights from data.
- Create and manage Power Query transformations to clean, transform, and shape data for reporting.
- Develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by implementing data quality best practices.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and data pipelines.
- Maintain thorough documentation of data models, queries, and reports.
About You
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, and DAX.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data transformation and data wrangling techniques.
- Excellent data visualization skills with an eye for design and usability.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification is a plus.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools.
- Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau, QlikView, Looker.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Familiarity with data modelling techniques and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
